Mossimo Trench Coat — Classic Outerwear Collection
Our trench coat combines classic tailoring with modern fabrication. The water-resistant cotton-blend shell keeps you dry during unpredictable weather, while the structured shoulder line and belted waist create a flattering silhouette that works equally well over business attire or weekend layers.

We chose a 65% cotton, 35% polyester shell because it delivers the best balance of structure and weather resistance. The tight weave repels light rain while allowing enough breathability for transitional seasons. Unlike fully synthetic shells that trap heat, this blend regulates temperature when you move between indoor and outdoor environments.

Sizing & fit guidance
This trench is cut to layer comfortably over blazers and sweaters. We recommend your usual size for a relaxed fit with room for a midweight knit underneath. If you prefer a closer, more tailored look, consider sizing down one increment.
The sleeve length is designed for average proportions — approximately 24 inches from shoulder seam to cuff. Petite customers often find the knee-length cut hits closer to mid-calf, while tall frames may see it land above the knee. The self-tie belt adjusts to cinch at your natural waist or wear loose for an open drape.

Styling & seasonal versatility
We wear this coat from early fall through late spring. The neutral tone pairs with denim, trousers, and dresses without competing for attention. Layering a chunky scarf adds warmth for colder months, and rolling the sleeves creates a casual silhouette for milder days.
The same attention to material quality you’ll find in our leather jacket collection carries through here — reinforced stitching, functional hardware, and fabrics that hold their shape after repeated wear. This piece works as a commuter layer, a weekend errand coat, or polished outerwear for casual office environments.

Mossimo trench coat questions
The coat is water-resistant, not fully waterproof. The cotton-polyester blend repels light rain and drizzle effectively, but prolonged exposure to heavy downpours may eventually saturate the fabric. For all-day rain, we recommend layering with an umbrella or choosing a fully waterproof shell.
We currently offer one length in sizes XS through XXL. The coat measures approximately 38 inches from shoulder to hem, which typically lands at or just below the knee for average height. Petite customers often see it fall closer to mid-calf, while taller frames may find it hits above the knee. Check the size chart on the product page for detailed measurements across chest, waist, and sleeve length.
The trench works best as a transitional piece for spring and fall. The partially lined design and medium-weight fabric provide moderate warmth, but it’s not insulated for freezing temperatures. You can layer it over heavy sweaters or under a heavier overcoat for added warmth during early winter, but we recommend our wool overcoat or insulated parka for core winter months.
The self-tie belt is attached at the back seam and can be tied at the front for a cinched waist or left open for a relaxed drape. It’s not removable, but the attachment point is designed to lie flat when the belt is untied so it doesn’t create bulk.
The trench is lighter weight, water-resistant, and designed for layering over business or casual attire in mild to moderate weather. The wool overcoat is heavier, fully lined, and built for colder temperatures without water-resistant treatment. The trench has a belted waist and storm flap, while the overcoat features a single-breasted closure and structured silhouette.
Hang the coat on a padded hanger in a cool, dry closet with enough space to prevent the fabric from being compressed. Avoid plastic garment bags, which can trap moisture and lead to mildew. A breathable cotton garment cover works well for long-term storage. Make sure the coat is clean and fully dry before storing to prevent odors or fabric damage.
The fabric is dyed to resist fading, and customer feedback consistently notes that the color holds up well through regular machine washing. Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle and tumble dry on low heat to extend the life of the dye. Avoid using bleach or harsh detergents, which can accelerate color loss over time.
